It’s Never Too Late!

Today was dress rehearsal for the play “It’s A Comedy, Right?” which starts tomorrow and runs through Sunday.  The director began the day by telling us how she wants us to come out for a bow at the end of the show. No one gets individual attention, we all bow together. A couple of women, who I believe she said were her nieces, or some relatives, came to see us because they will not be able to come to the performances. They came a little late and missed the opening scene, but they enjoyed the play.  It went pretty smoothly. Some lines were missed but the actors were able to cover up for them without it being too obvious or delaying the action.  was pleased.

Win said that her son, the playwright told her he will be at all except one performance, I believe it is the Saturday he will miss.  More tickets were sold today, so we may have a pretty good attendance after all.

I remembered all of the small lines I kept forgetting this time, but I think I said one of my partner’s lines in error. It really didn’t make any difference though. No one but us would really notice. I don’t even think the other actor in that scene would know, since he has so many lines of his own to remember.

We took a lunch break and did the play a second time. The timing  was better then.  Win had told us that the beginning was dragging, so they picked up the pace. With no intermission the play will run for an hour and a half.

Win told us not to go out late tonight and be sure to get a good night’s sleep, but I don’t know if I will be able to because I’m already excited. We go on at 2 PM and have a 12 PM call, but I think I will have to be there earlier. I will be too anxious to stay home
